well the swedish trucks have both been involved with the use of big turbos on relativly small capacity engines..and of course big on comfort .. also i believe there has been a bit of a hp power war happening recently with the 2 brands...

Hi Guys
I am an old bugger and semi retired (retired but could not just sit around the farm) I have always owned internationals, butter box, 1830B Acco's, T-line and S-line .
I now run a small earth moving business, locally, D3 dozer, MF 750 Backhoe, Mustang bob cat, have the S-line semi and Acco tipper however a couple of months ago I bought a Scania 1985 112H bogie flat top to cart the backhoe around, geez what a difference to drive, fast, comfy, plenty of power and bloody cheap to run.
I love my inters but the Scania is a much easier truck to drive, particularly over a long distance

many years age a big rush of blood to my toes result i buy a volvo ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it was the biggest heap of rubbish i agree with swishy best place for volvos is on a very fast boat to china 5 minutes to buy 3 yrs to find a bigger fool than me to buy it
nothing but nothing can compete with american drive line
my old r model just kept on going no matter what loads or condition of the roads yes a bit harder ride but the reliability was allways there
one thing about ico volvos dont need a speed limiter
