WERKHORSE

Back in the mid 70's there were 8 SAR's come down the line in Bayswater, one behind the other so I guess they all had consecutive chassis numbers. The trucks were all for Selwoods (maybe Seltino .... alziemhers kicking in). They were either 8V71T or 8V92T coupled to a 6 speed Allison. They were about the only autos that were built around that time. I know Mick Travlos bought one and replaced the auto with a 12515 roadranger.

JIMBO
The SAR photo you sent me of MT#15 with "GRUMPY" on the bullbar is the one I refer to. Were you still at KW Bayswater around the time of the Selwood (Seltino) SAR's ?
COULD 401802 BE ONE OF THEM ????

Noel, re 402172, don't have exact build/sold date but reckon it's 76/77.

Grumpy, the following is what I can find so far w.r.t SAR's with autos or for Selwood/Seltino. It might reflect who they ended up being sold to or the final delivered configuration rather than who for and how they were originally built. So take it with a grain of salt!

Info gets a bit patchy after about 77/78.

401774 W924SAR for SEC Vic 8V92T with CBLT-750
401802 W924SAR for T Sruhan NTC350 with CBLT-750
401905 W925SAR for R Holt NTC350 with HT-750DRD
402021 & 402143 W925SAR for All States Freighters 8V92T with HT750DRD
402214-2219 W925SAR for Selwood 8V92T with RT-12515 (5 with 157 inch w/b and 1 with 181 inch w/b)
402310 W925SAR for B Kinnear 8V71T with HT-750

Also recall seeing a Selwood K125 with 8V71T and auto up the road about 1978.
