Probably doesn't get much better than an inline 71, frosty mornin, pullin through a sleepy country town.....
Rattlin the nails out of the corry iron roofs...
But then....
Nothin, but nothin sounds like an ol 6 cylinder Cummins, with the fat on.....
Pullin hard, with the big horses diggin the feet right in....
Then of course....tryin to hold the big fellas back on the Jakes.....
It doe NOT, get much better than that!
Arrrrrrrrr yep........thats it!
NOICE! [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Shell used to have a W model with an 8V71, jakes etc.
What a thrill that was to hear it coming down Sheridan St, Cairns. Particularly as a truck mad kid in high school ,which also was on Sheridan St.

My daily squeeze is an fm9 volvo with i-shift auto, a very nice truck to drive but no noise and boring. On the rare occasion i pull up at the lights next to an old 2 stroker i will always turn off the radio and wind down the windows to listen to em take off
