Melbourne Fire Museum was created by Andy Wright
Anyone with the idiot box on in Victoria at the moment - Coxy's Big Break on Channel 7 is about to visit the museum. It's on my list as a must visit one of these days.

I have been to the Melbourne Fire Museum and workshop as well as a few MFB Fire stations and the MFB Workshop, that does not include a hell of a lot of CFA sites.

Andy, the Museum and workshop is worth a look, that is for sure.

But that is just my 5c :)

No argument here, Shadman. I'll get there when I've sorted a few other things out. Am catching up with Howard Pettigrew from NZ on Tuesday in the city but I think his work commitments won't allow us to visit.

Every 2 years (next March 2010) Steamrail have an open day at Newport workshops. The fire brigade museum's workshop also tends to be open on that day. I find the combination worth the trip.
Having lived through a pandemic I now understand all the painting of fat people on couches!
