Wasn't much but better'n nothing!

Don't knock free advertising!

Now that I have found the missing password, I am no longer a lurker so I better introduce myself as the Secretary at the FSMV.

Those of you who were on the previous HCVC visit to Newport a few years ago might remember me as I was the guide / host on the day.

Keep up the good work on this forum everyone.

And remember, the best trucks are painted red and red trucks are faster than all the others. ;D

(grin, duck, run)

Glenn Cumming.

I agree with the red truck bit. after all "If it's not red leave it in the shed" :D

Having lived through a pandemic I now understand all the painting of fat people on couches!

Swishy,

I happen to know the RFS brigade that military "butterbox" ACCO came from - I know one of the volunteers for Burrabadine RFS, 7km west of Dubbo!

Great photos Swishy,
Love the big Atki 6x6, the "military ACCO" is an International Mk4, The ACCO and AACO names were only used for the civilian trucks but we certainly know what you are talking about.
Am keen to visit the Fire museum and will ask our club events man Big Donny to get it happening.
Cheers Pete

One of these days I will, Dave.

Andy, Andy, Andy,

How many personal invites do you need? ::)

The man with the key to the shed.
Glenn

LOL, thanks Glenn, I don't like to impose. Great to know the invite is still there though. I'll take you up on it eventually.

Any news from the museum?

There's a living museum like this in Israel :)

Actually, these were used as a part of a protest by the Israeli FFS to demonstrate how old (some) of their equipment is...

The Macks are on a constant loan from the IDF, and I think there are also some older Deutzes still in service.

Cheers,

T
