My MG driving mate had no trouble at all finding compliant ladies, and he did not need a spanner to undo the gear leaver, it simply unscrewed by hand. He is a LOT shorter than you or I.
Another story about him.
When he was at high school, he always had heaps of money and was able to pay cash for a good car at the age of 14. Eventually, he came home one day to find his Mother had found the source of his wealth. He supplied all the students with condoms. His Mother burnt his whole stock.
