Reprising the clues so far:
it's in Victoria, and when facing the banana-benders it's on the left hand side.

if you stood at Wallan, Seymour or Avenel and looked towards the City of Churches, it'd also be on your left - but no sea view. (It is a major road, quite busy in fact.)
New clue, re the original pic (repeated below to refresh your memory) - behind the photographer (just over my right shoulder, about 50 metres away) is an old pub (real old) which has an animal species mentioned as part of the pubs name (it's an imported animal and even now not very common in Australia.)
