Last night's clue was intended to be 'north of Melbourne', I'll add 'west of Melbourne' as well, and no more than 250 km.

Not to spoil Roderick's post, but here's one of a corner fireplace where the chimney above was 'twisted' through 45 degrees so as to exit the roof square! It was done purely for utilitarian purposes, and for years was actually hidden behind a plasterboard layer above the mantel. New owners exposed it as a talking point.

A twisted chimney (of 90 degrees or more) is normally done as a work of art, and in earlier times was a display of a bricklayer's skill and artistry. There are very few in Australia apparently. I've only ever seen one fully formed chimney (apart from this one) and one set of 'twisted' verandah posts!

AFAIK Deep Lead didn't have a pub, but Sarge's entry is the closest to date.
Tarwin Lower Hotel had a twisted chimney, but I can't find my photo from before the pub was destroyed by fire, and I can't find a saved newspaper photo of the twisted chimney as the only survivor after the pub burned down. From memory, that was a four-sided fireplace serving four spaces as built, but with the walls removed before my visit. Today's pub is a rebuild.

With so many members Haulin' the Hume, I won't be offering any clues until Monday.
It also unlikely that there will be any fresh entries before then anyhow.

Buangor: Yes.
In recent years an art gallery has been built in matching style, but it is not the same building.
Allan may help himself to his fridge, and then hunt for the next challenge.

My glass of red is going down well, after a few palate cleansers firstly.

A very recent photo. And due to Covid I haven't been out of Victoria in quite a while (Hint, hint.)
