Your good (also you're good) Ozfury.
Pioneer River at Marian: Yes.
Due west of Mackay, and so not north of Mackay.
The photo was taken in August 1975.
Google Earth shows the piers remaining, but not the deck. A new high-level combined sugar-railway & road bridge was build slightly further downstream.
Only nine questions were needed.
Ozfury can help himself to an XXXX, or perhaps a Bundaberg or Beenleigh rum?
Given the lack of a new photo from an earlier winner, I think that it falls to Ozfury to keep the momentum up and post the next WheremEye.

Thanks Rodders, you are playing in my backyard:) (North Qld). I well remember heading from Townsville to Moranbah in the 70s crossing the river in the dark, through the mill yard under the mud elevator wondering where the hell am I? New bridge is on the heavy vehicle bypass, which has been superceded by a newer bypass closer to Mackay. Anyhoo this one should be fairly easy

Back to Marian: I thought that it would be difficult because only local trucks would use it. What traffic would require heavy trucks from the Townsville direction to Moranbah? Clearly,
Marian is a logical short cut from Kuttabul to Peak Downs Hwy.
I felt a bit mean grabbing the easy one, so have what I regard as an easy one for the continuation. My first choice isn't on the hard drive; my second choice I have used before. This is my third choice.
I have painted out the hotel name, and the beer sign.
We're back to the usual right/wrong unless this isn't as easy as I think.

So far so good: yes, country Victoria.
If it had been NSW, that car would have backed in at 45 degrees.

The latest idea up here Roderick is to park nose in first so ou can't see who you are about to back into as you reverse out into moving traffic.
