The vegetation hints Riverina, but AFAIK the only state with red level-crossing signs is Tasmania. Now to find a zone which is flat without a mountain backdrop. South of Launceston to Conara/Ross/Tunbridge.

I'll revert to Riverina vegetation. The road looks to be too narrow for the Newell, but there is a grey-power pop-top caravan on it.

I don't know it from driving by. They aren't bunya pines, but they are an inland-dry species. It is a modern memorial, interestingly with two plaques.
My memory of the Taroom memorial is that it features a sculpture made from bits of metal salvaged after the blast. I can't find a photo anywhere, so I'll enter Taroom.

Don't know where to-from but I suspect this was probably moved from the original position perhaps for a road realignment or widening. reckon that explains two plaques and what looks like a fairly recent construction.
