There were supposed to be lots of those Cadillac motors around as surplus after WW2. I've seen a couple, myself. One was driving a welder, the other had never been installed in anything and was still new in the mid 90's.

Pretty common in welders, sound fantastic at WOT as well, Ive also seen one with an alternator as a farm genset until it wore out and they couldn't get parts to rebuild it.
