What a fun thread. I never thought when joining it that so much diversity could/would be found and posted.
Back to reply 55 (page 3): success on 4/5, but stalled on the middle one.

2. The blue one is Goliath (Germany)
3. NSU?
4. Mitsubishi-GO
5. Mazda

The spherical VW had a lot of interest. I have posters somewhere showing planet Earth superimposed onto various mathematical shapes (eg a toroid). I am not getting the images online, but here are the 12 in the series. Very mathematical, and many would have severe implications on driving internationally.

12 maps : col. ; 22 x 30 cm.
Cataclysmal
Conical (gyroscopic)
Cubical
Dodecahedral
Cylindrical
Flat
Hyperbolic paraboloidal (saddle-point)
Hyperboloidal
Oblate spheroidal (the one we have)
Pyramidal
Toroidal (duo-equatorial, uni-polar)
Wegeneroidal

Now to the latest green in reply 68: Any id?

Three more from China.
I had thought that the platform trolley was a pedal tricycle, like the ones in the hutongs. I found a remote view from a different angle, it was a wheelbarrow (on a strut), not even a shopping trolley (ie no pony wheels).

Roland - Don't pull my leg! It's Jake the Peg! ;D ;D

I lived just a few streets away from where Rolf Harris grew up, in Bassendean, W.A. However, he was long gone to the U.K., when I arrived in Bassendean in 1962.
He'd been gone 10 years, but everyone still knew the Harris family .. and Rolf was, and largely still is, familiar to most older West Aussies.

G'day Onetrack

Rolf has done OK over here, with his painting and singing.

There was a programme on a few days ago on UK TV where he was interviewed, and he came across as a great bloke.

Cheers

There is still variety within the genre.

I think that there is only one more after these two

The steam loco is one of a prolofic class built specifically for private lines: nearly all of them are mining.

I have concluded my Chinese commercial-vehicle coverage (more than three wheels) in a different thread.

This concludes the three-wheel coverage. There is still one unidentified machine from somebody's post of five, and page back.

The best for last, I didn't see it; it was in a magazine. A friend has read the surrounding words, and they haven't helped identify the location.

The words above the photo read:
The fire safety protection facility of this village
reporter or photographer Wu-Yun-Shang

The words on the building behind the fire truck read:
Open your eyes, do not use fake product

The words on the truck read (right to left):

I reckon that back end looks like it tips. Might be a high-speed ejector seat for tourists! ;D
