Interesting stuff, I dint know about the Autolifts cab on Atkinsons. The one with the BMC cab is a backyard job, a NSW operator fitted it after the original was damaged or fell apart.

If this is another "unusual Atkinsons" thread I suppose the below would fit:
The mythical Omega somewhere in Libya (from www.flickr.com/photos/46260602@N02/8180408391/in/faves-hayes69/ )
One with a Dutch cab from www.flickr.com/photos/semmytrailer/favorites/page5/?view=lg
and the Krupp-cabbed one, always good for a laugh (from BigLorryBlog)
more of these cabs on www.users.totalise.co.uk/~thetyke/id30.htm
Cheers

The one that fascinates me is the low cab Atkinson, similar to an Albion Claymore, that marked the company's efforts to move into the lighter truck market.

Pete, you are right about the BMC (Willenhall) cab. It was an option on ERF (ie not Atkinson) trucks and I mixed the two up.

The "Willenhall cab" was an ERF design and ERF owned the tooling.
Willenhall Radiator Co made the cab.
ERF owned Jennings by now but Jennings were coachbuilders and didn't have the necessary presses.
ERF (through Willenhall) offered the cab on the open market to lower overall costs by increasing volume.
Austin/Morris eventually ended up being the biggest user.Guy also used a version of this cab
