aaaww .. c'mon Ron ..the only reason you blokes never had a door on the truck is because the copper couldn't book ya as you sped by him ...no name...no pack drill

About 1960 for the west coast style mirrors. The coppers used to call them wardrobe mirrors. They hated them because the drivers could spot them coming up behind easier.

Glad the pics were of interest, never saw any Policemen, very few in the territory and the ones that were there never bothered anyone unless they were real bad, spent most of their time trying to catch some poor bugger buying booze for an abo, set a trap for some newcomer, 6 months in the clink, trying to remember if we had a wheel ballancer

This Ks5 of mine has also had the drivers door removed so i can jump out in a hurry if it breaks an axle when pulling up the creek with a load of grain I did this after it lifted the front wheels about two feet off the ground

Ron ,,What was the shotgun for other than a arm rest, The K models we see restored today look a fair bit better than in the day that they were used, maybe we are spending to much money and time restoring them Keep the photos coming Ron
