Dozer contracor started his R600 with steer tyre air as the truck
had been sitting for couple of weeks, and lost start air.
Bit fiddly, but got it going ok.

Greetings. Firstly thanks to 180wannabe for putting a name to the green Crusader- Stan Heinrich which I took when I was a first year apprentice at Detroit Engine and Tool Company in 1974. The Quarry Industries W model a couple pages back was also taken in 74 and that truck has been remarkably restored by Murray Langford. The Bruce McDonald's 4564TDB was taken back then also and still worth a photo even looking as grubby as it is and I reckon that's an air starter tank on the red & white Atkinson.
I was talking with one of the service blokes at Detroit's/Penske on a recent visit trying to find some history on the Stan Heinrich Crusader and the back counter parts girl overheard our conversation and knows the Heinrich family- reckoned Stan's brother Hartley also had a Leyland but was unsure of the model. I'll stir the pot again next visit- I borrowed some brochures from one of the blokes to scan and I need to return them. Next time

Just a small but important correction, the Crusader belonged to Steven Heinrich, not Stan.
