I had a bubble cab in the 1980s, was a 73 model single drive pulling a 34 ft Haulmark tandem trailer. 190 shetland ponies got the job done with a top speed of 90 kph. It was a good honest old moneymaker but was ergonomically hopeless for a 6ft 3inch driver. It had some undesireable quirks like if the cab was leaning too far right you couldnt get gears, especially reverse. It had some wild chain pull system for the window regulators which was always rattling apart, lucky the windows were always open anyway, it was a very warm little cab.

Greetings. I have a Volvo F86 spec sheet from the early 70's and the list price was $14,290 and was going up $2000 in June of that year. An F88 was $19,853 including sales tax. The Ipec M A N I took at the Sydney Haulage Terminal on a school holiday fun run, the Schrapel's Whites were taken in Nuri as was the Coke Kenworth. Near 50 years ago eh. Next time.

The F86 window winders got sorted with the plastic grill model in '75, along with another 10 bhp. I liken mine to a great pony - good on the flat but once in the mountains starts to sweat. Stepping down from an F12 back into the single drive F86 is like a go kart around town.
