Got to be mid 60s ,The guy waiting at tram stop looks to have a Beatles haircut :lol: , they toured in 1964 i think

Futura had upmarket trim.

You had different model designations than we did up here. The Stateside Futura was a high trim sporty Falcon often with performance power.

I think FUTURA was the name of the 2 door Falcon that first came out - not a trim designation.
They resurrected the name later to mean a special trim.
I seem to remember all hardtop 2 doors of the early 60's were just called Futura.
Then again, memory does deceive!

Lang, I think you're right that the Futura name was only used on the two - doors, but I thought it was a trim option above standard. Some research required....
