Just under a month to go and I'm told most of the tidying up of the road through Sylvia's has been done.

Now if they can just run trucks both ways at once, after dark.........

Ahh Tumblong Hill my uncles sand quarry at Clarence near Lithgow supplied all the sand for the cement on the new road at the Hill, I remember the old hill two lanes and up and down got chased up there by a XC highway patrol and booked for excessive noise I was driving my Dad's HQ V8 one tonner the muffer fell off and I drove past him really slowly but he realised I was the only vehicle around got to the top of the hill and saw this white XC hightailing it after me pulled over and booked me and told me to call in at Holbrook and put the muffler back on

....Good story there 'oldgmc'....By golly,would've been some $$ in freight with the sand. Clarence to Tumblong...That sandpit must of been Kables...?? Cheers.
