I see Warren Brown's effort is getting some publicity. Lost track of what's what with the Great Birtles Race.

We set off from London in 3 weeks, Warren and his crew leave in September. Warren is a "media personality" and this is how he makes his living. He is a nice bloke and very entertaining. We are a couple of old farts doing our thing unsupported and he is making movies. No race and no interaction, two entirely different projects and two different routes, we wish each other well..

Well after 3 weeks of shipping delays, customs problems etc sitting in the total crap English weather we are strongly hopeful of getting the Bean tomorrow off the dock.

On Sunday (the first fine day or at least half a fine day) we went to Brooklands Museum. The Bus Association were having a show.

The green bus is near the race track banking as Brooklands was the first place that a car ever did 100 miles per hour.

Wer are on the way.

Knocked over 3 countries before lunch, UK, France and Belgium

Absolutely pissing down rain on the freeway crowded with trucks and their spray with a hand operated wiper. Actually pretty comfortable except for the cockpity space. Dress for the occasion and you can be warm and sort of dry. Off to Trier on the Moselle River in Germany tomorrow.

Camped tonight at Mons in Belgium.

Todays tracker path. First wiggly bit in England was because GPS had Motorways banned so we went to Dover by every 2 metre wide foot track in Kent scaring pigs and chickens as we rocketed through barnyards like Tony Curtis in the Great Race movie.
