Colin, I replaced the 2 seats in my ACCO with pair from the tip, out of a Camira I think, I folded up new mounts and bolted it all in, flash seat covers fitted. No body asked about them, two roadworthies later, they still keep my bum off the floor and still driving.
Just fit them....

Maybe get a few quotes on upholstery work. I’ve found the price can vary significantly between different places. Well done on the lens molding.

Great work with the lenses. You'd have to be pretty proud of that.

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,
Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

Yes just fit them but do it with the thought that in case of a crash, your bum will be on them. In other words make sure they are done properly and safe.
I got sick of the old "floppy" seatbelts in my Morris falling out every time I opened the door and having to scabble around between the seats for the small end to connect them each time I got in so I fitted a pair of retractable belts off eBay. $39 a pair plus $4 postage and the ad says they meet Australian regulations. They fitted to the old mounts that had passed the roadworthy.
"I dunno, anything about them Officer, they were there when I bought it and it passed the rosdworthy".

Urchy87 - Agreed, I will get a couple of quotes, there is nothing to compare the quotes against, so need at least two.
Morris & Sarge:-X - It's an old truck, who knows when the replacement parts were fitted and even if they are 'replacement' parts!
asw120/Jarrod - Thanks mate, yes very happy. Not quite ready to go into full production, but happy in the knowledge that I can make my own if something happens.
Morris - agreed, the 'replacement' seats will be much better attached than the original. In reality, the bases of the original was only held on by two wingnuts at the front! Pretty sure I can do better than that. (web picture)

We just made the new interior for the Mack, vinyle, backing foam, spray on glue, 1/4 inch gascket paper and in a few days and a the odd word of frustration I had pretty much a new interior for the Mack
It isn't simple and the gasket paper was the dearest thing of the job

MrsMackPaul,
What is quarter inch gasket paper? Is it known as sound insulation or something else? Some of us are a bit dumb and need explanations.
