1980 Mack R?

Hi again
Well its still raining here in Nth Qld so the bonnet wont be getting opened today, but I have gotten the Chassis number from the rego label in the pic. I was wondering if there is somewhere you can enter this number. Also could someone please explain to me what the NRTC SP3 means?

I checked for this number on the chassis rails like jmackb mentioned but could not see anything. I have seen the VIN tag on the firewall but so far have been unable to get a pic that is readable.

The little I kno bout mack
the chassis/VIN # is made up of the components th@ form the truck
Cab/====Engine #

NRTC= National Road Transport Commision
SP3 = Single Primeover with 3 axles

Now ifn U can get all them other # would/could B Good
look on side of chassis rail Drivers side near center of bogie

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has helped me with these questions. Been a big help. I have started a new thread that will evolve over the restoration project so it can be kept constant.
