Thats a bit clearer now Swishy, just dont ask me to do it on a dark night. My tyre changing skills are limited to remembering Beauipares phone number.

You blokes out to take a run out to some of those clearing sales in Western South Oz .. there's a huge heap of antique, and near-antique stuff coming up in those sales next month .. Beddys, Fords, Leylands, ACCO's, even a '69 MAN .. as well as horse-era stuff like a sulky and dray ..

Do a search here, using common truck names and other useful search terms such as "vintage", and you'll get a feast of old stuff you can drool over. Remote farms in low-rainfall areas, are where so much good stuff ends up ..
Check out the Model "O" Beddy .. the pic that ends with "091" in the URL .. :P

Wow, Onetrack. Love the old girl in pic 90. Wish I could afford her (like the Albion on Ebay at the moment).

Interesting to note the first TK shown is the same size as mine and the surname on the side is the same as on the side of mine!

The little Beddy is an ML. Wonderfully original too.

Love the MAN. Are these all different sales?

Andy - These are all different clearing sales in the Yorke Peninsula area, and the Western parts of the S.A. farming areas, coming up in February & March. The website is in the following link. The sales that have pics, have a note stating "list & photos". Click on the blue link and you'll get a button with "view photos" on it. This mob have a good photographer, and a good website here .. Cheers, Ron.

Swishy - Thanks for the intensive tutorial on tyre changing on ole sideplate floats .. but I don't think I'll be buying one, anytime soon .. :D

Just goes to show how old ya are, ya ole coot .. most blokes that have personal memories of sideplate floats, are in nursing homes .. and here you are, still punting ancient SAR K-Whoppas with Screemers, and O/S loads, around town .. ;D

Andy - Yeah, you could waste a lot of time, trawling through there .. ;D

I also made an error - the clearing sales listed are all over S.A., not just the Western areas of the State - although those areas are in the majority. There are sales listed in areas just North and also North East of Adelaide. I think the South Aussies are suffering from a run of poor years - the number of farm sales listed there is sizeable, compared to our state farming areas.

Another nice old Beddy - this ones just NE of Snowtown and SE of Crystal brook, at a place called Yacka ..

Harleigh - Ehhhhh?? .. whaddidya say?? .. speak up!! .. yer mumbling!! .. ;D

After having sat right alongside a 4-71 for many months, on a Euc Scraper, ya tend to become a little hard of hearing .. and ya tend to lose your deep affection for the Screemers, somewhat .. :)
It could've been worse, I suppose .. it could've been a 6V-53 .. :'(

Now, I know there's plenty of blokes out there, who think they are the ducks guts .. and they did propel a lot of the world for a long time .. but in my humble opinion .. the most suitable place for using Screemers .... is in boats ................ mostly, hanging from the end of the anchor chain .... ;D ;D
