The special heavy wall rubber vacuum hose would be very costly, assuming you could still buy it.I used the last lot I had for sandblasting hose.....You d need as much steel pipe as possible, joined by bits of hydraulic hose where flex was needed......Even heavy wall rubber hose sucks flat, and cuts off the vacuum boost.......I learnt that the hard way.........personally,I wouldnt muck around with vacuum,I fit a small compressor to the engine, and go air ,preferably with a separate hydraulic booster on each trailer wheel......because K5s have pitiful brakes anyway, and I have bad memories of hydraulic brakes failing on old Inters and trailers.....Id also go dual line in any truck, for the same reason.

John

A lot of blokes seem to have used the heavy black plastic irrigation/reticulation pipe. I don't think that would collapse but it won't go around tight corners. Maybe hydraulic hose?

This looks like agpipe to me and apparently off a successful operation. But I can not be sure. Currently on Gumtree.

ADR 35? compliant PBR compressed air setup.....Not vacuum...Although PBR did make a full air to vacuum valve.....some of the RAAF prime movers had them,as many of the airport tankers were so old they had vac brakes.

I'm with John.K.
That doesn't look like a Vacuum Setup to Me..

Sorry, did not mean it to be vacuum example but a demonstration of the use of the black poly pipe. I guess if it can take 100psi internal pressure it might stand 14psi external. I don't know.

Yep John and Seed are spot on

And that wont be poly pipe but nylon air line

The proper vacuum hose is very thick walled black rubber used on milking machines

I think the hose is a lot bigger than that as inch or more

Maybe some train resto types as some old pomy trains had vacuum brakes
