There is a 'Report' (and some photos) on this incident floating around today.
It is difficult to work out where it comes from - but I suspect it is an 'unofficial' version. None the less its interesting.
It reports that the vehicle was carrying 44 bulker bags of AN - weighing 1.2T per bag. 44 x 1.2T = 52.8T
It goes on to describe the 'vehicle' inviolved. Saying it was a prime mover with 2 trailers in a B Double combination. With that statment then followed in brackets by (a Type 1 Road Train).
While I stand correcting - to my reading of the Qld Transport info - it cannot be both - its either a B Double (made up of an A & a B trailer) OR a 2 trailer (with a dolly) Type 1 RT.
Now - I'm well out of touch with trailer lengths and axle loadings - but - it would seem that with 22 bags per side (1/2 of 44) that - that would not fill 2 x full lenght trailers. But - would seem like it would fill a B Double - as in 1 1/2 trailers.
But how does all that fit with a pay load of 52.8 Tonnes?
Does anyone out there know the facts?
And - does anyone know where this 'REPORT' may have come from? The file name says a Geoff Brown is the author.

Oldfulla, 44 pallet spaces would be a road train.
Whereas a B Double is (Typically) 34 pallet spaces.
payload wise, the weights you mention are a typical Road train Load,
B Double payloads are around the 40 Tonne mark.
