Also spotted McNaughts neat looking Pete going over the bridge in Echuca, one of four others I seen in the last few days.

Chipping away, one day at a time.

Tec,
I dont know if you can make anythin out of this story, its straight out of the faded memory banks........

At Lansvale in the 70s a bloke used to bring a Pete in for the occasional service & repairs.

His name was Chapman, (as i recall)..........the Pete was a long nose, Cummins power,( a 250 i think)

Well thats about it......................Billy.....................

bit late with this info but Col Chapman (Chappo) was the guy you're thinking of BillyP....and from memory he subbied to AFL...hence the colour scheme....
he also used to own a LHD Willy's Jeep painted up in US Army colours with all the insignia's....you might of seen him when you were at K/W Lansvale because after the Pete he had a K/W..and his jeep was his daily ride.

...thanks wedgetail84 and dno .. i can't tell you anything about the later model Petes, as they were after the 1963-66 factory RHD ones we had out here...

..newto, did Col Chapman have a 220 powered conventional ?...

Hi newto .. there was an old conventional Pete in a yard (car yard?) in Parramatta that was painted in that AFL green colour that had distinguishing flutes in the bonnet sides...

...i know it was the ex Freezer Van Tpt 220 powered banger that had a tag axle rear end, but i couldn't say what was in her by the time it was in this yard...in about the mid/late 1970's...and what really became of her after that ??
