'R' right hand drive or .........driving on the correct side of the Rd ...... LOL

AFAIK
the mid 70's big engines for transport trucks became available and the KW S2 could not supply a adequate cooling radiator package ................ so the SAR twaz invented with the raised cab n hood/bonnet to allow better flow of air thru under the cab
the S2 was already produced in the U.S. guessing the Oz V: was more of a copy in R.H.D. so they left the 'A' out for Australia
