Old Dog,
Did you not have any glass front R600s (imports?) in Oz before and at the same time they started production of the Flintstones?
Cheers,
T

Tatra The B model finished in OZ about 1966
The R 600 started in US around 65.
The Flintstone went from 66 to around 70
The fibreglass bonnet started around 1970
So 66 to 69 would have been Flintstone front end's
The fiberglass bonnet did not appear untill 1970.......Mark

Hi Steve
How do you get away with driving it with no rear guards you have them if you drive it bob tail or even pull a trailer. Dave

The fibreglass bonnet was being developed in the US as early as 64/65, and being used at least on Mack Trucks own test vehicles. In Australia the very 1st R models delivered were steel fronted, but f/glass bonnetted R's were delivered here as early as 1966. Up to 1970 many R's had f/glass bonnets. However it appears that steel was the preference. This is what my research has indicated to me.... Jeff.
