There is no need for any zip ties on mine as they simply dont move, no rub marks or anything. Mind you they have only done about 5,000 klms since fitting because he only comes out for rallies or to pick up long loads of building supplies when I need to build another carport.

I use a socket that I have put a grommet in to put through the rim to take the cap off. This works well with the buses I work on.

50 odd years ago we tried Schrader valve extensions
more tuble than they worth (spose we R ruff on the gear)
best to bend the valve stem to make m user frindly
bend by using a loose bit of pipe n bend blow where the vale insert hangs out
the inner wheel we use the valve cap

and the right double ender tool to remove cap or valve stem
