What do you blokes call the rubber cushion thingo's on a lot of early Pete and KW's cabovers, when the cab settles back on its pedestals, these rubber thingo's act like a sandwich and seal off the air so it has to come down the inlet tube with fresh air? For the life of me, can't think of the correct terminology!

Not quite sure, Mrs.
Early ones I recall looked like two dinner plates, one fitted just inside the other, either rubber or neoprene'
Looking for something similar in 3 inch, but need to know just what they are called.
Sent an email to Bretts Truck Parts in Sydney, deal in a bit of smaller Jap cabover stuff, hopefully they can help.

I buy stuff for Lorry from Bretts and they are fairly good. Lorry the Hino has a similar thing but his is not round it is rectangular and is a concertina idea so when the cab is almost down it makes contact and when the cab is locked it is squashed.
I'm with you on this one, what the hell is it called.

Yep! Thats the one, Cobba, same thing, some round, some square or rectangular, nearly always a concertina action. Dave
