You folks have had a lot of bigger Fraulines than we had up here in the States.. I never remember seeing a bogie drive one??? All ours were medium sized city delivery vans.

Ok here is my nostalgic Frauline Friday, an ode to the girls I just waved goodbye to...
1) This is the LPS, when it came from Yass. Old mate was "going to do her up" of course. She was a damn good truck, had been sitting for so long that a tree was growing up through the vent in to the cab.. But a set of batteries and away she went.

And here is the old "Low windscreen" LS 1418- she came from a farm up at Finley. I bought her sight unseen, old mate said "she's a bloody ripper, I'd drive her to Sydney right now but the brakes have gone bung from sitting"... Hmmmm. I reckon she would get there no worries, but I can't imagine what our friendly NHVR people would say if she was seen rocketing up the road. Be an interesting drive, just the way it used to be. Noisy, slow, and hot. But good fun, kinda....
Choc's did the signwriting, we used my Dad's old name from his trucking days, and just made up an address that sounded suitably middle-of-nowhere-long-time-ago....
Certainly a face that only a mother could love..
Anyway that's a bit of an end of an era for me, but hopefully that start of a good new era for someone else.
Happy Frauline Friday, people!
Cheers
Rich
