This bloke posted this saying he was an old Vaughan's subbie- remember them? When I was on the road it was probably the last of that era. There were still old buckets of bolts running up and down the highway towing a really scruffy looking trailer, tarp about a million years old, crap hanging off everywhere. Nearly always towing a Vaughans trailer...So it seemed to me that if you were a "desperate", and had any sort of cheap old truck, you could get a job subbying for Vaughans running interstate...
That said, it was also the era when you COULD get a start, and if you were a good operator, raise your family, put your kids through school, and even buy a house by starting with a company such as this...
Anyway, memories eh?
Anyway here is a couple that fell off face ache, I think?
