Hi Bugly
The 911 was originally white ,and i class white as undercoat so had her painted ,i believe she come from NSW and was power company truck ,then a super spreader was put on it but didnt have enough power in the hills ,so i ended up with her around 14 yrs ago
she has 1200-20 tyres which tend stop you getting stuck most of the time, except once
She takes awhile to get started when cold,im actually going to a tractor towed sprayer soon so she will be on the market

Here are some MB 911 pics I have wanted to post here on the Merc thread for some time. All were taken at the Paskerville Field days on the Yorke Peninsula S.A. back in 2010. The same truck was also seen at the Riverland Field days Barmera SA in 2009.
I do have some pics somewhere of the rear and tray taken at the Riverland Field day and will post them later.
Not sure what year of manufacture it is, but I'm sure somebody here will know !.
A nice Resto.
Cheers......Barry

Heres one for Bugly, this is where your manual came from Bugs!
And I'm not sure if I've posted this or not- The old girl had a 237 Mack engine, 10 speed RR, and the Mack front end and diff.
Funny truck, in some ways it was what a Benz should have been- absolutely pulled like buggery, in fact it did everything right- except it just didn't feel like a 1418! The sound was "wrong", and it didn't feel "soft" to drive anymore... So I had to sell it. I think it went up North somewhere, and I guess it's still working in ome capacity or other!

in a lot of ways swishy you get the best of both worlds....especially if your out of spider rims/tyres and all you can rustle up is 10 stud disc rims/tyres to get you where you need to go (or get the hell out of where you've been!)
