Bulldog Bulletin was created by BK
I found a stash of these I've had for years, and thought I'd share a few old (grainy) photos.
These are from a 1968 mag.
This is Fitzgeralds new Maxidyne in AFE's yard at Coopers Plains.

Kevin Langley's (Kyogle) B modles.

This is one of J N Nicholsons, I know it was 1966, because I was the "jinker" man on that job.

Unless I miss my guess,Kevin Langley only owns two B Models.
PhotoShop (1966) Ltd owns the other four.
Great pics though......more.

Welcome any info or pictures of 60s Australian AEC Mustangs (Leyland Comet lookalikes)

Langley did have 6 Macks, looks like only 2 were home when the pic was taken. ::)

This one is from the Nov 1977 mag.

The H & S boys would have a heart attack with this one from April 1972

Isn't it funny that what we used to call "initiative" is now "highly illegal, dangerous, banned, you idiot, how could you even THINK of doing that.."
Not saying we should go back to being dangerous at work, but gee, it makes you think...

Great pics of the Bulldog Bulletin, please keep em coming!
Cheers

Prodrive - I think that shot of the three trucks stacked on top of each other, rates as dangerous stunt, no matter how you look at it.
No outriggers, and three sets of springs .. each with a base width of under 4' .. and it could have been a pretty wild ride, if a wind gust sprang up, just as the roof truss was at full height!

Ever seen the pics of the Milwaukee Stadium (Miller Park) roof mess, when the Sumitomo "Big Blue" 2000 ton crawler crane fell over?

They were lifting a 450 ton section of roof in one piece .. the wind picked up .. the engineer in charge hadn't done his calculations on wind loading on the roof section .. the wind pressure overloaded Big Blue, and it fell over.
Three blokes were killed inside the stadium when the falling roof section hit their suspended cage .. and the total damage bill was US$54M!

They cut the remains of the roof up for scrap, and carted it away. It took 34 semi-loads!
The Yanks ended up blaming Mitsubishi for a supposedly faulty centre pin in the crane .. but the high wind loading was the initiating cause of the disaster. The American courts fined Mitsubishi US$94M.

L@@Ks OK 2 me
B guess n they have the top trailer tied down
then a cupla loose chains on the crane
so they only need to shift the rig once n then stoll up n down the top trailer a few feet to get the roof truss in place, eye'd B more interested in the loading on the lift chains with the low angle , they may stretch a chain or brake n then the swing n action of the load may bend the end of boom extension n spill u're beer

LOL

Yep the old Bulldog Bulletin , how I used to look forward to seeing that big white envelope with the mack bulldog on it on the kitchen table at Eudunda when I returned home from school over 40 years ago .As a lad I wrote away to most truck mobs ect for information / pictures like a lot of others did I guess and Mack kept sending me the bulldog bulletin , I did contribute by having a photo of an F model of Lance Smith published also one of my mate and myself with his EH Holden and the funny part is we havent grown out of it yet ! I wanted to buy a B model to restore but the $$$s werent in my favour at the the time so I settled with the Superpower but I did paint it in the colours that Spornes tpt. used which kinda brought me halfway there anyway. Loved those early editions of the Bulletin . catchya Rob

One of the editions had a "supplement" in it of old Macks, here's a few.

I left the captions in these to save my one finger typing. ::)

Check out the trailer wheels on the bottom jigger!! no air bags then. ;D, but it does seem to have legs on the trailer.
