FANTASTIC STUFF JIMBO,
I remember the big night that KW had at Footscray workshop when they released the SAR. All the potential buyers were invited, the workshop mechanics worked as drink waiters that night.
I remember the big photo shoot they did out at Bayswater with Alec Ireland driving the first SAR off the end of the production line. All the workers were gathered around it, Jack Maslin and Jim Rutledge out front of them. You haven't got that pic by any chance Jimbo??
The photo of Mick Travlos #14......used to do Melbourne - Perth 2 up with 4-1/2 day turn-around. Second SAR he got, the first one was #13.....doing the same run in the same amount of time......called it "BUNKA MUNCHA"

Photo in reply #15.....Bunkers first SAR. Called "UNCLE SAM". I think this was the first SAR to come out of Bayswater Factory with a 36" bunk fitted. All others previous to this only had a 27" bunk fitted.
