First truck Drive..

Commer knocker when I was about 12 (59 now) in Smiths Wreckers at Ararat. Mate and I driving round and we inadvertently backed over some grass and set fire to the grass with the exhaust. Should have seen and heard his father when we told him the grass and truck was on fire!!!! He ran across the dinner table and out the nearest window to put the fire out.

Got my truck education in a cab over Inter with a crash box with Trevor SOBEY's driving school in Ballarat in the 70' :Ds and my licence in a 1418 benz belonging to Slades at Dean. Used to run to Berrigan NSW and bring spuds back to McCAINS.
