Thanks for the awesome compliment neighbour.

What have I been doing lately -
1. I have finally fitted the Nosecone and internal guards for the last time.
2. Connected the vacuum pipe from the engine to the A/C
3. Fitted the fuel filter on to the chassis rail
4. Clamped the fuel lines to the body
5. Completed the wiring for the Fuel sender and Fuel pump
6. Finished and fitted the fuel tank guard
7. Cut away a small part of the manifold and cover to provide clearance for the heater hose
8. Fitted the heater hoses which are a mix and match from various cars to make it all fit together
9. Finished the headlight wiring
10. Fitted the a stainless steel overflow tank
Fuel filter connected to the tank
Fuel tank guard fitted to protect tank sender and hose fittings
There is always a use for a 50 year old junior hacksaw
A little modification to the cover plate as well and the heater hose fits nicely
Left hand headlight wiring showing the Deutsch connector I have used for reliable wiring
.
Looking towards the nosecone with no wiring visible to make it look clean and simple
Front view with Nosecone on

As an instant gratification type of person I can only say your attention to detail is outstanding. This will be one of the nicest little trucks around. I like the fact it is not a totally chopped project that only a mother could love but has all the modern gear in it while retaining the original style and feel.
Hope you bring it to the East Coast to let us all have a look when it is finished.

Thanks Lang,
To further maintain the original look and feel, I am retaining the bench seat which will be upholstered in the same style as the original.

I see the bonnet stops (?) on the nosecone. I don't remember those on my parts truck. They have me wondering if you're going for a front-opening bonnet, or just trying to minimise sources of vibration and noise? Or are they custom radiator mounts?
Cheers.

Thanks for the comments fellas
AS120, the bonnet will be the stock standard side opening bonnet and the items you refer to are custom radiator mounts. They are rubber engine mounts and I am using them to isolate the aluminium radiator from the chassis to prevent electrolysis.
Cheers

Thanks Trevor.
I connected up a power supply after work to check basic functionality of the wiring and everything was good apart from two problems.
1. The Yankee wiring loom combines the brake and indicators and
2. The electronic auto headlight module kept the lights on all of the time.
I fixed the American combined brake/indicator setup by cutting the white brake wire on the GM steering column connector and with the auto headlight module, I connected a 1K resistor in place of the sun sensor. I will fault find this module later.
All of the lights work, the wipers work, the A/C blower fan works, the fuel pump turns on and stops which gives me some degree of comfort.
This photo shows the number plate bolts (in the middle) that have globes hidden inside them
The LED reversing lights have overloaded the iPhone camera in this photo
Display mode on the gauges
