I was lead to believe that trucks built during WW2 with inward sloping windscreens were built that way to reduce the likely-hood on them being spotted through the sun being reflected off the screen, particularly by aircraft. But my informant may have been dumb or telling porkies..

No dust settles on the out side screen so no glare from the sun, the dust on the inside is easy to remove
Probably also true about less glare from sun shinning on it as well, there is plenty of advantages and one big disadvantage

However Im not sure that it would of been much worse than any other slab fronted truck from the same era

There used to be a time that Russian made vehicles had ''bad looks'' down pat. But these Kamaz trucks look so good.
