Imagine she would get up and boogie with the 8V92 and retaining the single drive, even with a pusher!

Thats a sign of how different times were eh.. Powerlines, crane in the street, truck in what looks like the front yard, and lets stick a new engine in her.
No worries, just get her done and move along.
Bloody good stuff.....

Yes, couldn't of put it better myself Rich

To many fun police today, they all seem to be out to rain on everyone's parade

I get a bit over it all these days because if I say anything about all these safety Nazi's I made out to have committed a crime

Sorry I got way off track, some things just give me the Jimmy Brits

Great photos and story, loving the story and photos, keep them coming

I reckon they're Phone Lines! Looks like the power lines are the other side of the Street..!! But happy to be corrected.

Great Pic of an Australia that (sadly) no longer Exists..

A great picture of an ACCO fixing a KW, love the oh&S crane operators position, looks like has to stand all day and can't see his controls.

If the crane is a Steelweld he has a choice of sitting and looking through the rear window, or popping the roof hatch and stand for better vision. The control levers are well laid out so after first week of operation don't need to look at them.

Fred was a regular into Lysaght/BHP Steel at Western Port in the late 70s early 80s. There were a number of subbies that called in on a regular basis backloading to Port Kembla / Sydney. It was a memorable unit.
