The November issue of VTC Magazine (being posted on 29/10) has an article on the Black Mountain Roadhouse, complete with pictures of the waitresses of the early days with the trucks. For an amazing re-union 50+ years on Janet will be there to greet the 'interstaters' on the run. We have the Thornycroft and B model Macks registered but we need two R190 Inters for a "full house" to match the pictures. Trucks will arrive at Black Mountain at 3pm on Friday and again at 7.30am Staurday, in time to be back at the show before public opening.

Copied across from the 'Wooden caravan' thread.
Climbing the New England in the 1950s. The beautiful MG Y has just reached the Moonbi Range summit in fine style, trailing a small wooden caravan. The owner and his wife pause in the refuge to enjoy a triumphant cup of tea. Supplied to me by a contact in another group, and I did a heap of cleaning and retoning.

Re previous post, Don Turner will be bringing his R200. Not the same truck but close enough for a photo re-creation. Shirley is also coming, bringing her pinny too!
TruckstopTV will be covering the re-union so all will be able to share the moment.
Countdown is one day less than Yarra Glen (for those making camp on Friday) and then minus another hour for the Quinslanders.

As Cecil B Mammoth has his film crew positioned for the southern glory boys the country cousins sneaking in the backdoor will do selfies coming up Cunninghams Gap.

I am going down Thursday solo. Couldn't get any coherent plan from the others who seem to be doing it in dribs and drabs.

lookn forward to viewn the selfies Lang. Does that involve abseiling off the cliff tp get the best action shot.
'Southern glory boys' favoured - not so (and there a few gals amongst them), everyone gets an equal chance of missing a gear on film coming up Devils Pinch on the run to the re-union.
