Well we started our little trip today and just before we turned off the Hume Hwy into Mittagong we went past a funny coloured pinkish truck where the body had hippos tied up along the timber sides, then the cab of this rather large truck still in this God awful colour came into view and with a Hippy grooving along the Hwy and on the roof was 3 large what looked like gramaphone horns facing different directions. The long squared off bonnet use to have a dog at the front but that was removed and replace with a fan. The original badges of MACK were still on the side of the long bonnet. At best guess it was ex-Army but they would not want to know about it now. AS we walked out of the office after booking in the bloody thing rattled past and my phone was in Bongo so no proof of mthe story.

I am beginning to worry about you.

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,

Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

I just remembered I do have some pics to post but have to do it from the phone once I work that thing out.
I really should know better than to mention something and not follow through with evidence.
Of well, Bong on.

Back on the road tomorrow and heading to Tumut.Today we went back to look at the very first Iron foundary in Australia, the original and then the upgrade model. Built and operated in the 1880's. The bonus is the metal sign at the newer site. It is the first shet of cold rolled stainless steel out of Port Kembla. They sent it across for them to make the sign up. Fitzroy Iron Foundary was its name and was almost lost in history until they wanted to build a shopping complex on the site and they found the footings and holes.

Sitting on the Hume Hwy having lunch. This drove in for Paul to add to his Mack post. Loaded with little fat piggies. Glad they eat better than they smell,
From here we go to Echuca via Shepparton.
