The Mack is a CLR .... Big brother to the CH model .... CORd are usually V8 powered whereas the CHs were 6 cylinder

Thanks both. This generalist always appreciates the responses from specialists. I guess that the Mack is collecting spoil, and not delivering fresh substructure material. When it gets to the dump, what happens? I guess that the dog trailer has its own tipping mechanism, but what happens next: uncouple for the truck to discharge? Discharge into the gap, and tow the trailer over the mess? Somebody posted a video showing how some double tip worked in Europe. Using a complex mechanism, the leading hopper slid out over the emptied rear one.

I knew an driver (now retired) who could back the dog so close he could release the tailgate on the dog through the cab window.

I could have put this with tractors, but the equipment is modern, and I believe the same Samsung which appeared a few posts back.

Glen Huntly Rd at St Huberts Rd, Carnegie (Melbourne, Vic.): Track relaying. Sun.12.8.01. (Jeff Bounds) The truck rhs is a Hino; I guess that the one lhs is a Ford. I can't guess the distant ones.
