You mean as in Made in Australia Waratah?
An Oz bike. Well I'll be, I never knew that.
I thought it was all Vincent, Velocet, Enfield and BSA this country.
(I'm not a Currency Lad.)

Most manufacturers used bought in engines from Blackbourne, J.A.P. and also Villiers two strokes for the lightweight machines.
Over your way Tillbrook was a semi successful motorcycle manufacturer and racer.

best were the last few with the X-Flow motor. Swap the cast out for an alloy head, triple side-draft webers made for one well disguised rocket. (Q-ships they were called)gotta like the TC cortina with the power bulge six cylinder
Be it firearms or V8 engines, the question is not "why should you have them?"
