Hi Trevor
Don't worry I've thought about that. Bit like if someone has a tilt tray? I'd like to get to Dubbo but finding the time between everything else. Wasn't you that got the C1 on Ebay?

Yeah wasn't quite as bright in the can might be a bit much the whole thing done with it, at least I shouldn't loose it. I was cleaning out dad's stuff & found it in a box of paint, White Knight Golden Yellow.

That style aircleaner can be fitted with a modern paper element. Much more efficient in both cleaning and airflow without the mess.
Just take the wire screen to Supercheap or REPCO and you will find a matching paper size on the shelf.

The gauze one might keep a grain of wheat out but even then it could find its way through. The compressor won't suck the guts out of a paper filter?

You can blow the paper elements out with an air nozzle close up without hurting them. I doubt 100cfm over the entire surface would hurt them at all.
The compressor is nothing compared with what a paper element handles on a 4 barrel carby on a big V8.
