Dont you just love spending hours hand sanding 80 year old panels back to bare metal ! Even with a bit more sanding to do,I am happy with the result so far. :)

BOO

Its been a while since I posted, have been super busy with lots of different stuff. However Daisy is still being worked on albeit very slowly.Ive got hold of liners for the front brakes which are at the brake place to be bonded to the shoes this week,Ive just ordered new brake hoses ,and sorted out to get an exhaust header pipe (manifold to muffler)made up this week.I have also got a heap of material together to fabricate the tray, which at this point in time is looking at being of a stakebed style. The only other work happening on her at the moment is the reproducing of the "B" pillars, this is ongoing as all of the timber frame is knackered and being used as templates for new frame which is being made out of hardwood.Oh yeah ,almost forgot,I also picked up a couple more really good 20 inch rims,so have a full set to use now. Loads of pics to follow very soon, because everyone loves pics.Stay tuned. :)

Had wood this weekend ,so it was time to use it on Daisy's arse end.Knocked up a couple of bearers with bits in between to join them, used some 200x 50 pine I had laying around. Its all joined together with angle iron brackets and galvanized bolts. For the bits that go across I used some 100 x 100 RHS,that were also laying around.Early days yet,and possibly over engineered but hey,I havn't made a truck bed before,so feel free to criticize or hit me with useful tips. Also picked up the relined brake shoes for the front end as well as some seal cups for the slaves, just need to sort the outer rubber boots for the slaves now. :)

Yeah thanks for that Paul,I am reasonably happy with how its all coming together. We are in the process of laying a 36sqm paved area in front of the garage,so am hoping to be able to get the old girl out of the garage and get some better pics together soon, until now its been a bit of a cluttered grass/dirt/weed area, and moving her around was a hassle.Plus I want my garage space back. :)

Hi all, very slow progress of late on the old girl due to one thing or another. However ,I recently picked up a truckload (well 6) of original type 20 inch rims, actually came to me in the form of a complete rolling chassis, with flattie and g/box etc (lots of spares for daisy). The engine number appears dodge car the g/box pto seems to have maybe a hydraulic pump on it ?The front hubs have Fargo cap remains The frame has duallies on the rear, is about 157 inch w/base.My problem is ,I dont seem to be able to find the chassis number listed anywhere on the net,it is 8826205 (front left chassis rail) HELP ! :-?

Can't help you with a chassis ID, but don't worry if the updates are spaced out a bit; we all have to earn a living and pay bills and stuff.
We appreciate whatever updates you care to share with us when you have the time and funds. :)

Cheers, Jarrod.
