This truck of mine has 7.00 series tyres on a 20" x 5" rim, would these rims be wide enough for a 8.25 or even 9.00 tyre.

Hello, what you have to be careful of is the dish on the wheel , that your bigger tires dont kiss on the duals,
900x20 like 6,5 inch rim and 8.25 a 6 inch, you may get away with the smaller rim and if you go that way it pays to use a smaller size rust band so you can collapse the walls a bit to get the lock ring off, i have F500's here that have 750's on the 700 rim and the duals are kissing without anything on it

What can be done with the brakes on this old girl, its just got the single line hydraulic with no booster. And also will a Commer/Dodge 5 speed overdrive bolt up to the 4 speed (NP435) bellhousing

Bruce, just go through them and make sure the cylinders and brake hoses and lines are all right. You can put a vacuum booster on them, I think the PBR one is a VH44, Onetrack will know, which will make the pedal a bit softer.

VH44, is that big enough to do the job. also the truck has 5/16 lines where the VH44 i had in my Valiant was only 3/16

The VH44 isn't big enough, it's only designed for cars. PBR separate their hydroboosters into car and truck types. I don't know what the current models of PBR hydroboosters are, PBR keep changing the models and updating and making others obsolete. All the info I have on PBR braking, is mostly on obsolete models, so I can keep up with changes. If you go along to an ABS Brakes branch, they will set you on the right track for the correct hydrobooster to suit the Dodge.

the after market P B R hydropower unit for a 3 59 was a VH 80. I did have commer 5 speed O/D that was behind a perkins when i took the fly wheel and the clutch plate off the 318 i took it in to a clutch manufacturer i was told that the shaft on the gear box was too big for the clutch plate dia

not sure how easy it is to find a commer 5 speed overdrive, but there are a few "dodge" overdrive 6 speeds around

Im in Lynwood.
Pulled the rest of the front clip off today. Nose cone is in good shape with rust about the size of a 50 cent piece and thats it, the gards and bonnet make up for it but. Will just work on these panels now and not pull anymore off the old girl.
