i'd like to see that..
50 k in peak hour..they'd reckon you were a maniac..
Be more like you'd have to fit a joey box so as you could get a gear low enough! :D

Trev, the screws with the slot "do look the goods" but it's very easy to have the screw driver slip out of the slot & mark the timber, compared to the phillips head screws. But whatever 'you do' is fine by me, your workmanship is second to none. Sleep tight in your 'kennel' buddy. ;D ;D Cheers Tim ;)

M A T E !!! You've got to at least align the slots with the grain of the timber!! ::) ::) But yes, it does look more "period!" [smiley=thumbsup.gif] ... and 50030 looks - congrats for having such a hot topic!!

They are not steel nor are they brass.


Hope these meets with your approval

They are made of marine grade alloy 651 silicon bronze metal for dependable corrosion resistance.

Mate in the States got them for me and he swears by them.

When does a restoration finish???

After our trip on Haulin the Hume and our little oil fire we now have some things to fix before our next venture out.

Runs planned for early August then Echuca early September then Sandown late November.
