Is it just me or are high-rise cabs and sleepers rarer in the US?
Not anymore!!! Starting about 1990 the manufactures started building aerodynamic Hi Rise sleepers into the trucks.

I think all the above pictures were taken at the Iowa 80 Walcott Truck Jamboree. That show is about 70/30 antique / historical..
