This auto version is a Leyland diesel six, likely with the later type dash - the autos giving trouble apparently and he said it was in quite a state of disrepair

It is/was - It never sold on e-bay .. I brought it a bit later. its been cleaned up a bit since then (not enough though) . I have scraped a lot of paint off from the rear to expose a sign painted on the back that says "Leyland Wodonga Demonstrator".

The hydraulic brakes decided to fail on the short drive back to its new location which made the trip a touch challenging as I ran thru a red light on a main road as the rear air's are controlled by the hydraulic's

You will probably find, if the truck has been standing for a long time, that the wheel cylinders and booster all need to be overhauled. Great to see some more Leylands getting restored, they did play a major part in Australia's trucking history.

... turns out my scanner still don't scan ... :-/

Be it firearms or V8 engines, the question is not "why should you have them?"
, but "who are you to demand that I justify them?"
