It doesn’t overheat since we rebuilt it.

Hayseed That was a professionally posed and photographed picture of an early "beetle." Note the careful positioning of the camera and the car on what is known in the trade as "background paper" (It completely blocks out all background distractions and eliminates the line between the floor and the backdrop) Somebody is having fun or showing their ignorance with steam coming from the FRONT of a REAR ENGINED, AIR COOLED car.

Southbound Does the car in your picture still have the eleven horsepower VW motor in the rear, so it can get home when the V8 blows up?:S
