ASW/ Inter used wider ratios in the five speed T36 box intended for a two speed diff. The #3 Eaton also has different reduction to a # 4,to allow for different boxes likely to be used.In a C1600 with a 281 and 4 sp box, adding a 2sp diff improves average speed by 10 miles an hour.Mainly because you dont need to drop a cog as soon as the road slopes upward. If you split the shifts, acceleration is improved a great deal, too.Makes a completely different truck out of a 1600.Not so noticeable with a 5sp box,or a V8 motor.

Q#23
Do the little wheels on a float have the same carrying capacity as 11R's?

I'd rather have tools that I don't need, than not have the tools I do need.

Less capacity (compared to same width of tyre), they take more power to pull, and warm up a lot more. You will notice that a lot of step decks wear low profile 22.5" rather than go down a rim size.

RE: Q#23

The larger tyre has a higher carrying capacity than a Low Loader 15' or 17.5

but the max legal load is the same az small n big tars

best value for munee 2 rows of 4 tyres on low loader =18.5 ton
18.5t / 8 tyres = 2.3125t
8.25 x 15 tyre capacity az in duels =2.514
9.5 x 17.5 tyre capacity az in duels=2.457t
11Rx22.5 tyre capacity az in duels=2.725t
